Office ventilation system diagrams
Ventilation in office buildings | |
![]() | Option №1Ventilation equipment is installed on the roof of the building or in the attic. Such ventilation should be initially taken into account in the building design – it requires several vertical ventilation shafts running from the attic of the building to the basement itself. Horizontal ventilation ducts diverge from the main vertical ventilation shafts on all floors of the building, through which fresh air enters and, in the case of supply and exhaust ventilation, used air is discharged. This ventilation scheme has been used for many decades, it is the modern embodiment of fireplace chimneys. Disadvantages of such a design:
|
![]() | Option №2Compact supply and exhaust installations are used (duct type equipment is most often used). A separate ventilation unit is installed on each floor. To supply fresh air, one common ventilation shaft is used (which can be either strictly vertical or horizontally vertical, depending on the building), each ventilation unit uses its own duct to remove exhaust air. Advantages of such systems:
When using highly efficient ventilation systems, such as those manufactured by TICA, you get a significant reduction in electricity consumption and comfortable conditions in an office building. |

![]() | Option 1 Supply and exhaust ventilation combined with an air conditioning systemWhen using separate ventilation units for each floor, they can be combined with an air conditioning system (a central ventilation unit can also be combined with air conditioning – but this scheme is more complicated in execution and has a number of disadvantages). For these purposes, a cassette air conditioner is used, which is installed on the ceiling of each room, or ventilation units with an integrated air conditioning module. This system allows you to effectively cool fresh air in summer and heat it up in the cold season. |
![]() | Option 2 Supply and exhaust ventilation without air conditioning systemIf you have already used office space without a ventilation system, then most likely you have already installed wall, floor-ceiling or column air conditioners to cool the air. You can continue using them after installing the ventilation system – this will reduce your costs. |
