Description
A recuperator is a device that allows part of the energy to be returned back to the system for reuse, thereby increasing energy efficiency and reducing costs. Most often, this term is associated with ventilation systems where recuperators transfer heat from exhaust air to fresh air, but there are also other types that operate with electrical or mechanical energy.
